Biography
Reginald A. Smith, affectionately known as Reggie, was born on November 3rd, 1972, in Gary, Indiana. From the very beginning Reggie was embraced by a loving middle-class family who provided him with a nurturing and supportive environment.
Throughout his life, Reggie excelled both in sports and education, showcasing his determination and passion for personal growth. Reginald has a BA in Organizational Leadership and Management, AA in Criminal Justice, and MBAs in Special Education, Business Management, and Human Resources. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate degree. His academic astuteness is a testament to his unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Reggie finds fulfillment in his roles as a husband and father. He is happily married to his wife, Diana L. Smith, and together they have five children: Reggie Smith Jr., Taleah Redd, Tiyona Wright, and Derrick Redd Jr. Their family has expanded with the arrival of three grandchildren. He looks forward to more grandchildren that will aid to the joy and love in their lives.
Reggie's passions extend beyond his academic and family life. He has a deep love for training athletes, helping them unlock their full potential and achieve their goals. Additionally, Reggie finds solace and creative expression in writing poetry, where he captures the essence of his emotions and experiences through words.
Reggie's commitment to serving others is evident in his 20-plus years of dedicated service in the social and human services sector, particularly in the field of mental health. His invaluable contributions have positively impacted the lives of countless individuals, demonstrating his compassion and dedication to making a difference.
Currently residing in Southern California, Reggie continues to pursue his passions, support his family, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of others through his work in mental health and creative endeavors.
